Definition of Instructional Design

Hi friends.
I am inspired by the developments in my personal as well as professional life. Now, it is time to begin sharing my knowledge. The knowledge I have acquired by learning and experience. I do not want my blog to be written and updated only by me. I want comments and views to improve my understanding too. I want this to be an open source forum. I will begin by defining instructional design.
Instructional Design: Instructional design is the systematic design and development of instructions to ensure that the learning need of the learners are fulfilled. To know more definitions, follow the hyperlink:

Hi, This is Rajiv.....An Instructional Designer by profession.
Hmm, is that what you are interested in?
My profession, name, caste, salary :)...etc. etc.....
I wish I can tell everyone that I am more than a person labelled with a tag, which depicts my identity. When I enter my office with a beautiful necklace, which is actually my i-card, I feel nothing more than "Kaidi number 786". I want to see this world beyond horizon. I want people to know me without reading my card. I want to create my identity. You might be feeling that I am frustrated with my job. May be I need a change :)
But thats not true, this is just to tell that life is more than a profession. Even a profession is more than 9-6 job. I am here to share my experience of life as well as profession. To help people in whatever way I can. As I am related to e-learning industry, I will try to share all my experiences and I guess I will have much more to learn from the visitors.
3 go Cheers to all.
